How to be a good teacher

Teachers should be:

• good at explaining things.
• keep their cool.
• have a sense of humor.
• like people, especially students in the age range in which they intend to teach. 
• inherently fair-minded.
• have "common sense."
• have a command of the content they teach.
• good managers of time.
• can lead or follow, as the situation demands.
• don't take things for granted.
